We're a small independent new and used bookstore located in the heart of dwontown Mobile's business and tourist districts, within walking distance of all major hotels and the convention center. We carry a large selection of used hardcover and paperback fiction; local and regional authors; rare and first editions; history; and assorted other books. We also carry furniture and furnishings for sale, as well as art by local artists.

Location, Directions & Hours
Bienville Books is located at 109 Dauphin Street. We are a few minutes’ drive from the downtown exits of Interstates 65 and 10. There is free parking along Dauphin Street and metered parking on all side streets. The white zones are good for two hours and yellow loading zones for 30 minutes.
COMING FROM I-65 SOUTH:
Take the I-165 bypass just past the Chickasaw exit. Travel all the way to the Water Street ramp. Go several blocks south to St. Francis Street, turn right, go two blocks to St. Joseph Street and turn left. Go one block to Dauphin Street and you will see our storefront across Dauphin Street to the left, between Bienville Square and Royal Street.
FROM EAST I-10:
Take the Water Street exit right, just before the George Wallace Tunnel. At the first light turn left, go five blocks to Jackson Street & turn right.
Go two blocks to Dauphin Street, turn right & park near Bienville Square.
FROM I-10 WEST:
On the I-10 Bayway, take the Government Street/Bankhead tunnel exit. After you exit the tunnel, follow the instructions above for Jackson Street.
We are open from 10:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, except for major holidays. During Mardi Gras and other evening celebrations, hours may vary (see below).

We include this information both because Bienville Books carries a number of Mardi Gras related books and because we are located within the parading areas, occasionally limiting access to our store.
